At CURA Lab, we are constantly seeking to expand our horizons and foster meaningful international partnerships. On February 11th, we had the distinct pleasure of welcoming a delegation from Umeå University (Sweden) to the University of Coimbra.
This visit comes in the wake of Umeå University’s recent entry into the EC2U Alliance. As part of a tour of partner universities, the Swedish delegation visited Coimbra to learn more about the research ecosystems of alliance members and to prospect for potential future collaborations.
Representing Umeå University were Lilian Madureira Teles, the Local Coordinator of the EC2U Alliance, and Katrin Holmqvist-Sten, a representative of WP6 (Work Package 6), Professor of Architectural History, and a researcher specializing in Cultural Heritage and the New European Bauhaus. The meeting was hosted by Prof. Eugénio Rodrigues, Ana Rita Amaral, and Prof. Manuel Gameiro da Silva.
For CURA Lab, this visit marks a significant step toward strengthening our international network. We look forward to transforming these initial conversations into concrete research collaborations that bridge Coimbra and Umeå within the EC2U framework.
